Breakfast radio host Margaux Parker and her footy legend husband, Corey, are selling their home of almost nine years to begin a new life chapter.
The couple has lived on the acreage property in Cornubia, south of Brisbane, with their four children since 2014, but have decided it’s time to move on to their next project.

Having both grown up on acreage, they wanted to give their kids, Memphis, 12, Wylei, 11, Jagger, 8, and River, 7, the same experience.
“We were living in Camp Hill at the time,” Mrs Parker, who is one third of Triple M Brisbane’s The Big Breakfast, said. “I was pregnant with our third child and wanted acreage — a nice big backyard, a pool, be able to see the kids play, one level, open-plan.
“We drove in the driveway (of their Carbrook Road house) … and I kind of went; ‘I think this might be the one. It had a sauna and a workshop, and Corey was sold.”
The Parkers have since undertaken a majorrenovation and extension of the home, which now accommodates five bedrooms, a master retreat with a large dressing room and walk-in wardrobe, a man cave full of Broncos memorabilia, 10-car accommodation and car hoists, a media room, a large gym, a pool and spa, and a tennis court.
“The kids love it,” Mrs Parker said. “They play soccer, footy, they swim, play tennis, use the treehouse, and we have an outdoor fire pit.
“Corey recently added a self-contained (shipping) container. It’s a guesthouse that looks like a mini version of the main house.”
After six moves in five years, Carbrook Road was to be their forever home, but a new chapter is calling.
“The kids are growing up and are now busy with sport and school,” Mrs Parker said.
“It’s time for a change, and we’re ready for a new project. We’ve been building and developing houses in Brisbane for 20 years now. We love seeing something through.”
The challenge is finding another property in the area.
“We never had any idea we’d live in Cornubia, but this is where I grew up. I went to school down the road, and we’ve built a really good community of friends so we’re hoping to stay in the area.
“We have an idea of what we need and want, and we’re not afraid to renovate.
“Every open home we’ve been to, we’ve been contacted straight away saying there’s been an offer.
“We want to sell first. We don’t want to commit to anything until we’ve moved on physically, emotionally and financially.”
And she admits she will miss it.
“It is sentimental, but there will always be memories made in our next home,” she said.
“We’re ready for the next phase of pre-teens and boyfriends, and that next house will encapsulate all of those things.
“You never know, we may end up in the Jayco! It is a nice caravan.”
Nathan Strudwick of Elders Real Estate is marketing the property, after originally selling the Parkers the home on 6,800 sqm in 2014.
“I remember they walked through it and Corey fell in love straight away,” Mr Strudwick said.
“It’s an amazing location — resort living with room for all the toys.
“It was an easy sell last time, and I’m sure it will be this time.”
The property is being sold via expressions of interest without a price guide, but Mr Strudwick said a similar property across the road recently sold for $3.65m.
“It’s a very aspirational area,” he said.
“A lot of self-employed people and their toys want to move here for the space and the land.”
