A man has launched a wild tirade in court after he was refused bail over a string of alleged offending including a home invasion, indecent assault and car theft.

Clifford Allan Wayne Warrior, 38, told a magistrate it was “corrupt” after he was refused bail in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon.

Mr Warrior, of Taperoo, is charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass, indecent assault, two counts of common assault, illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle at extreme speed, property damage, stating false personal details and dishonestly dealing with property over an alleged crime spree on Thursday.

Police allege that about 1.45pm on Thursday, Mr Warrior entered a North Adelaide home and indecently assaulted the occupant before stealing his car keys and taking his white Mazda CX5.

Police patrols responded to the scene and Polair tracked the vehicle from the sky to a Renown Park home.

Police further allege Mr Warrior interfered with a vehicle before breaking into the home and assaulting the occupant and running from the house.

Tyson Leung, for Mr Warrior, told the court her client lived with his father, who he was the full-time carer for, and that the allegations were contested.

Ms Leung said Mr Warrior’s twin daughters were turning 18 this weekend.

“Mr Warrior is very distressed about missing their 18th birthday,” she said.

Ms Leung said Mr Warrior was the subject of a serious police dog attack in relation to other court matters and he still suffers from aches and pains as a result.

The court heard Mr Warrior, a father-of-five, started using drugs after losing a child in 2004.

Magistrate Ben Sale denied Mr Warrior bail, due to the seriousness of the allegations and for the safety of the community.

“This is f***ing bull****,” Mr Warrior said.

“This is corrupt.”
