One of southwest Queensland’s oldest pubs has hit the market with a fresh face, ready for a new investor to showcase it to travellers near and far.
The current owners of the historic Inglewood Hotel have left no stone unturned, having invested in major renovations throughout the pub and rooms upstairs.
Located roughly three hours west of Brisbane, the rural country town is home to a population of just under 1000.
It’s one of a number of rural watering holes to hit the market in 2024, with the recent addition of the Bowenville Hotel in the Western Downs and the Pioneer Hotel in Kulpi, 60km northwest of Toowoomba.
SGW Hotel Broker’s Scott Williams said the country hotel had already generated interest in just a week on the market.
“It’s located in a great area that’s surrounded by wine, major agriculture and farming, a lot of visitors pass through,” he said.
“The place has been completely renovated from the bar, gaming room, beer garden to the rooms upstairs.”
The hotel is now the only pub in town after the closure of the Royal Hotel.
“These smaller communities try and keep the local pub going, because what’s a town without a pub, it would make them a sad place to be,” Mr Williams said.
Mr Williams said the owners are currently accepting expressions of interest.
