The owners of a prime Noosa property, previously intended for a Chris Clout home, have sought a permit to demolish the block’s existing four-unit apartment block.
Second-generation builder Wade and wife Claire Jenner bought the 743sq m Sunshine Beach property on Adams St from well-known Noosa-based designer Chris Clout.
According to property data, Mr Clout bought the property in September 2021 for $3m before listing it for sale two years later in August 2023.
Mr Jenner snapped up the property, which was advertised alongside renders of Mr Clout’s intended house design, for $3.5m.
The couple submitted plans for the demolition of the apartment-block, Pacific Units, to the Noosa Council on April 26.
The renders for Mr Clout’s plans for the block included a pool, gym and a slide between the ground and first floors.
The Adams St block, which currently houses a four-unit two-storey apartment block, is a 10-minute walk from Sunshine Beach.
Built in 1985, each unit contains two bedrooms, one bathroom and a car space on the property.
Property data available on the apartment block lists each unit as currently being rented.
No stranger to the lucrative Noosa housing market, Mr Jenner sold a property at 20 Maher Tce, Sunshine Beach for $9.1m in August 2022, according to property data.
He had purchased the 1950s three-bedroom home for $1.75m and built a new development in 2022.
Mr Jenner remained tight-lipped on the future of the Adams St property and declined to comment on his development plans for the site.
