Footage has emerged of a motorist being allegedly threatened and robbed in traffic by a man brandishing a hammer in a bizarre daylight incident on the Sunshine Coast.
It’s alleged by police that a driver passing through Nambour Connection Rd was threatened by a man not known to him about 2.20pm on Monday August 8, 2022.

Video obtained by the Sunshine Coast Daily depicts the fevered run-in next to the roundabout near the Bruce Hwy and Maroochydore Rd.
In the footage one man can be seen outside his vehicle allegedly brandishing a hammer while yelling at another driver.
Motorists watched on in disbelief as the incident played out in broad daylight just before peak hour.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the alleged robber made threats with a hammer and demanded cash, with the motorist handing over a sum of money.
The spokeswoman said the man escaped the scene and left in a car.
Investigations are ongoing.
