Mudjimba body found: Police confirm it is missing man Luke Woods

A Queensland Police spokeswoman says body found at Mudjimba is that of Pacific Paradise man Luke Woods.

The body of Pacific Paradise man Luke Woods has been found on the Mudjimba Beach shoreline.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the 38-year-old’s body was found this morning, July 30, 2022.

This followed a two-day search after the alarm was raised over his disappearance on July 28, 2022.

The search for Mr Woods began at Mudjimba Beach where some of his personal belongings were found.

He was last seen leaving a Namba Street home.

Police have notified the man’s family.

“A report will be prepared for the coroner,” the Queensland Police spokeswoman said.

The State Emergency Service and Surf Life Saving volunteers on quad bikes and jet skis assisted the police in the land and water search.

Numerous water police vessels and drones were also used.
