Vivienne Mary Glover allegedly stalked her Noosaville neighbours for 11 years

‘You won’t see another birthday’ is one of the threats a Noosaville woman allegedly made to her neighbour in the years before she held a knife near his throat.

A man who was allegedly stalked by his neighbour for 11 years has told a court how he felt “petrified” when the woman allegedly held him at knifepoint after years of intimidation and harassment.

Vivienne Mary Glover pleaded not guilty in Maroochydore District Court to two counts of stalking her Noosaville neighbours between November 30, 2008 and February 28, 2019.

On the second day of evidence in the trial crown prosecutor Alex Stark asked the alleged male victim to describe several interactions with Ms Glover.

The man used notes he had taken during the 11-year period to tell the jury about Ms Glover’s alleged behaviour that he says led to him suffering high blood pressure, a heart attack, severe depression and anxiety.

He told the jury he had seen Ms Glover holding a “big” knife with a 14 to 15 inch blade on her property before he was held at knifepoint near Emu Creek Rd in Noosaville on 4 July, 2015.

The man said he was walking along a footpath when Ms Glover rode her bike towards him and pointed a knife two to three feet away from his throat.

“When she came closer she swerved onto my side of the way … and when she was approximately two metres away she raised her hand off the handlebar and pointed a knife at me,” he said.

“I was petrified.”

While being questioned by Ms Glover’s barrister Simone Bain, the man agreed he had not reported the matter to police.

He said he had made many complaints to police about Ms Glover’s behaviour including when she allegedly drenched him with a hose.

The jury heard police had told the man the matters he had reported was a neighbourhood dispute and to get a peace and good behaviour order.

The man agreed he never got the order.

Ms Glover is accused of videoing, photographing and keeping detailed surveillance notes of the Noosaville man and his wife over 10 years coming and going from their house, including their conversations with friends, family and visitors.

The Crown alleges she was abusing and harassing the couple when she made “wild” accusations that he had raped her and was involved with drug trafficking and Islamic terrorism or Isis.

The man said the rape allegations led to other neighbours calling him a rapist.

“I felt like committing suicide, it hits you hard,” he told the court.

The man said Ms Glover had also made threats to “burn their house down” approximately a month before their adjoining fence caught ablaze while they were out on May 24, 2014.

He told the jury he and his wife never left their house unattended for more than two nights after the fire occurred.

“We were petrified she was going to burn our house down,” he said.

Ms Bain suggested the alleged threat was more serious than the other allegations against Ms Glover.

The man disagreed saying Ms Glover had made many intimating comments and allegations to him including when she asked if he had to be carried out in a body bag on December 10, 2012 and he wouldn't see another birthday on June 8, 2013.

“She tried to get me arrested for raping her, she also told police I was raping my wife, I think that’s more serious,” he said.

Ms Bain also noted the man hadn’t written the alleged threat to burn down his house in his notepads until after the fire.

Several videos and recordings of Ms Glover’s alleged harassment and abuse were played for the jury.

Ms Bain is expected to continue questioning the man when the trial continues on Monday.
