One of three teenagers accused of murdering Sunshine Coast man Zdravko (Zed) Bilic can be named after the woman appeared in court.
Kieysha Jade Sky was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday, July 22, and her matters were mentioned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court the following day.
The 18-year-old did not appear in court for the brief mention of her charges.
Solicitor Brad Skuse appeared on her behalf and asked for a brief of evidence to be compiled, and for the case to be transferred to Maroochydore Magistrates Court.
Magistrate Michelle Dooley ordered the brief of evidence and adjourned the matter to be heard at the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on September 29.
Police have charged Ms Sky with murder, assault occasioning bodily harm, robbery while armed in company with personal violence used, unlawful use of cars, and six charges related to break and enter offences.
The young woman was arrested days after her co-accused – two boys, 15 and 17 – were also charged with murder and multiple property offences.
The 17-year-old was arrested in Toowoomba as he exited a bus he caught from Brisbane, and the 15-year-old was arrested at Chermside earlier that day.
Police and emergency services were called to a Napalle St address in Warana about 7.30pm on July 14, following reports a man had collapsed.
Mr Bilic’s wife, Gry Susann Tomte, a successful businesswoman, was not on the Coast at the time and called a neighbour to check on him when she became concerned.
This led to the resident finding 57-year-old Mr Bilic dead in his front yard with wounds to his abdomen.
Police alleged Mr Bilic was confronted by the teens, who had broken into the Napalle St property about 11.30pm on July 13.
The boys allegedly stole the keys to Mr Bilic’s car and, during a confrontation, stabbed him twice in the abdomen.
Police allege Ms Sky was a party to the murder, as she is accused of driving her co-offenders to and from the scene of crime.
