Nicholas Alan Semler Mitaros, 27, of Bli Bli has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and drink-driving following the tragic crash on Father’s Day.

The Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard Mr Semler Mitaros was in custody during a brief mention this morning, October 30.

Court documents show the police ticket issued to Mr Semler Mitaros, which alleges he recorded a reading 0.069 per cent after the crash occurred.

Mourners gathered on October 12 for the 12-year-old’s funeral.

They remembered a kind and active little boy who loved swimming, fishing, crabbing and anything water-related.

Court documents showed the labourer has also been charged with stealing a bottle of wine from the BWS Maroochydore on Aerodrome Rd, on September 9.

Dawlon’s family members were also in the courtroom.

No pleas were entered and Mr Semler Mitaros did not apply for bail.

The case was adjourned until December 15.
