A former prominent Noosa nightclub co-owner, who was jailed three weeks ago for using his business to sell cocaine, has had a significant fraud charge dropped, a court has been told.

Marcus Les Wright was jailed for five years on April 6 after he pleaded guilty to trafficking dangerous drugs, possessing a phone used in a crime, and fraud.

He will be released after spending 15 months behind bars, the Brisbane Supreme Court was told, and the remainder of his sentence suspended for five years.

The court was told Wright would sell the cocaine through his Hastings St nightclub, the Rolling Rock, where customers would come to collect bags of cocaine.

This came after Wright discovered his own father was having an affair with his wife, the court was told.

Wright was listed for a mention in the Maroochydore District Court on April 26, but his only remaining charge, fraud by dishonestly inducing the delivery of property valued of or over $30,000 but less than $100,000 was dropped.

He did not appear in person.

The court was told the Crown was no longer proceeding with the indictment and Wright was discharged.

Meanwhile, the next steps in an alleged drug dealer, allegedly tied to the drug operation in Noosa, were revealed.

Samuel Gary Johnson faces three charges of supplying dangerous drugs and one charge of possessing a thing used in the connection of supplying a dangerous drug.

He did not appear in the Maroochydore District Court for his mention on April 26.

The court was told in his absence the arresting officer was preparing an amended statement in relation to a search warrant and this would be disclosed by the following week.

The matter was listed for review on May 24.
