Police investigate alleged Ocean St brawl after young man seriously injured

A 22-year-old Nirimba man has been rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after an alleged brawl at Maroochydore early Saturday morning.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the young man was seriously injured after he was allegedly assaulted by a number of people on Ocean St.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said they were called to the scene at 3.18am and the young man was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition with serious head injuries.
Police are attempting to speak with a number of people who may be able to assist with inquiries.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the alleged brawl is urged to come forward.
It comes after police released CCTV footage from an alleged attack at a Meridan Plains pub in September 2022 as investigations continue.
