Feebie McIntosh death: Friends mourn young Dicky Beach shooting victim

Tributes are flowing for a 25-year-old Currimundi woman who tragically died from a fatal gunshot wound to the head in Dicky Beach on Friday.
Feebie McIntosh was being mourned by those close to her on Friday night as news of her tragic death spread across the Sunshine Coast.
Police rushed to a Coolum St home in Dicky Beach about 9am Friday, May 27, 2022 where Ms McIntosh allegedly suffered a gunshot wound to the head after a disturbance.
A 58-year-old man who police say was known to her took her to Caloundra Base Hospital but Ms McIntosh sadly passed away in hospital as a result of her injuries.
A 30-year-old Narangba man was later arrested along Fitzwilliam Dr in Sippy Downs about 4.20pm Friday during a dramatic arrest.
Police confirmed the arrest was made in relation to the Dicky Beach shooting and later confirmed Ms McIntosh’s next of kin had been advised of her death.
Several of Ms McIntosh’s friends spoke of their grief as they grappled with the news they would never see the caring 25-year-old alive ever again.
Jack Telford said he’d been a family friend of Ms McIntosh’s for years and said her parents would be devastated by the tragic news.
“She was so caring, if anyone needed anything she would go out to give you what you needed,” Mr Telford said.
“Me and Feebie have been friends for years and have a lot of history, she just got around the wrong crowd.”
Friend of five years Marian Whanauu said mates of Ms McIntosh have been left heartbroken at the news.
“It’s f---ing horrible how (someone) could do that,” she said.
“Feebie was an amazing human, full of love and faith.
“She was my ride or die, I love her so much and she’s in heaven now with the angels now.”
The 30-year-old Narangba man was charged with murder overnight and has been denied police bail. He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Saturday.
