A Conondale mother who tragically lost her life in a fiery crash in the Sunshine Coast hinterland has been identified as a “one of a kind” mother-of-three.

Monique Boxsell, 30, was travelling to the shops about 6.40pm on Monday September 5, 2022 along Aherns Rd when her car left the roadway and collided with a driveway culvert.

Police investigations say this caused her car to roll and burst into flames with Ms Boxsell suffering critical injuries in the crash.

She sadly died at the scene.

The Conondale mum was only travelling up the road from their home to the shop when her family’s lives changed forever.

After her passing she has left behind her three young boys Dean, Joel and William, three brothers and two sick elderly parents, along with her friends and family.

Ms Boxsell’s mum Kath Cork said her daughter’s death had left a hole in their hearts that “will never be filled”.

“Our family will never be the same and we all feel numb with the grief of losing our girl,” Ms Cork said.

Her cousin Gemma Vogel said Ms Boxsell was a “one of a kind” and would always make sure those around her were okay before worrying about herself.

“She loved her boys with all she had and loved her family and friends,” Ms Vogel said.

“She worshipped her big brothers and was their biggest supporter.”

Her sister-in-law Darcy Murphy said Ms Boxsell was so generous and loved animals and nature.

She said Ms Boxsell never left home without saying “love ya”.

“She loved her nieces and nephews and ‘Aunty Neeky’ always made time for them,” Ms Murphy said.

“[Ms Boxsell] idolised her big brothers and wasn’t scared to keep them in line.”

Along with her passing, Ms Boxsell’s family lost their only form of transport which was used for school drop offs, grocery shopping and more.

A GoFundMe has since been created after her death to raise money for her funeral costs and her family.
