The South Burnett has endured a shocking crime spike at the weekend, with a man waking to find an intruder in his bedroom just one of the brazen offences.

Investigations are under way after a man took the victim’s keys and drove off from the Lamb Street property in a white 2019 Hyundai Cerato hatchback about 10.45pm Saturday.

Lamb Street was twice targeted that same day when intruders broke into a garage and stole a motorised scooter, while others siphoned fuel from a car parked on Webster Street.

Kingaroy didn't fare much better with a string of violent and public nuisance crimes sweeping the town.

Police are still investigating a disturbance at a Memerambi home, where police allege two boys and a woman showed up to the property and began threatening residents while armed with a knife and a golf club just before 1pm Friday.

A 17-year-old Kingaroy boy has been dealt with under the Youth Justice Act for two counts of threatening violence and trespass, and a 22-year-old Kingaroy woman is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 21 charged with threatening violence.

Investigations are continuing to find a second boy.

A man was charged with assault, wilful damage and public nuisance after he allegedly resisted being asked to leave a Haly Street pub last Wednesday.

Police will allege the 54-year-old Kingaroy man threatened to fight bar staff and refused to leave, before finally exiting and damaging a nearby business.

It will be further alleged the man verbally abused staff.

He’s due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 7.

That same night cash was stolen from a medical facility in Markwell Street when offenders snuck into the building through an unlocked rear door.

Investigations continue.
