The alleged offences occurred between 2013 and 2018.

Green’s lawyer, Scott Lynch, who appeared via telephone mentioned the previous trial of Green which took place at Kingaroy District Court last May.

Mr Lynch said he didn’t want the trial to be held in the current July District Court settings.

“We just had one (trial) and there was a fair bit of media attention,” Mr Lynch said.

Crown prosecutor Hamish McIntyre indicated the prosecution will be making an application regarding the prerecording of some of the alleged victims who are in “European countries”.

Mr Lynch said the defence will be opposing the application highlighting the issues with video recordings during Green’s last trial.

“All of the video last time was hopeless, it just broke down all the time,” he said.

Mr Lynch also indicated the defence will be making an application to have the matter of transferred to a different jurisdiction before a trial is set.

Mr McIntyre suggested Maroochydore as a possible location.

“The prosecutor in Maroochydore has an extensive knowledge of this file,” Mr McIntyre said.

“It’s a quite complex matter … the physical file which I brought with me took up half the space in the car.

“It’s a significant hearing,” he said.

Judge Vicki Loury KC said a date for the next mention will be set once the relevant applications have been made.

Green is yet to enter a plea.

The father-of-three purchased a property in Mondure around 2010 where he lived before selling it in 2019 and moved close to Longreach.
