A Cherbourg council stockman has faced Murgon Magistrates Court after a drunken rampage where he damaged a property while repeatedly shouting profanity at the resident.

Jarrabah Charles Davidson, 25, pleaded guilty to wilfully damaging a property, in a domestic violence offence.

Police prosecutor Barry Stevens said Davidson was clearly intoxicated.

“He became enraged and shattered one of the windows and smashed the front window too,” Sergeant Stevens said.

The court heard that Davidson was shouting, “Where is the little sl-t?”.

“He picked up a picket and did some other damage,” Sergeant Stevens said.

When police arrived Davidson dropped the picket and was detained, the court was told.

Defence lawyer Sjaana Stephens said Davidson has been employed as a council stockman for three years and was a father to two children.

“He recognises alcohol is a trigger for offending and has proactively sought assistance,” Ms Stephens said.

Magistrate Andrew Sinclair said he was pleased Davidson had taken steps to address his problems.

“I take your early plea into consideration,” Mr Sinclair said.

Davidson was fined $500.

Convictions were recorded.
