They are the point-scoring duo who will be key to the Capras hopes of going a step better in the Queensland Cup in 2024.
But that might not be the only record to fall at the feet of Capras stars Trey Brown and Brandon Roberts.
The pair are among the club’s top 10 points scorers - and climbing.
Hooker Brown now sits fourth with 296 points, while winger Roberts has moved into 10th place with 158 points.
They both have the chance to build on their respective tallies but remain well shy of the club’s top points scorer Nat Bowman who, in his 80 appearances between 2007 and 2011, scored 542 points.
Brown has played 71 games, Roberts 44.
The duo will be vital to the Capras’ prospects as they aim to build on an incredible rise in 2024.
Under coach Lionel Harbin, the team has made the finals of the statewide competition for the past two years. They went from wooden spooners in 2021 to week two of the finals in 2022 and to the preliminary final in 2023.
Brown was one of the Capras’ best last year, earning a place in the Hostplus Cup Team of the Year alongside teammate and prop Bailey Butler.
Brown’s laser-like boot has been the major factor in his points tally; he has kicked 132 goals for the Capras, second only to Bowman (189).
He landed 54 of them last year, fourth highest of all time, and his 120 points in that season was the seventh highest for the club.
Roberts has scored 39 tries for the Capras, 18 of them last season, which was equal fourth of all time.
He also has the honour of having scored the most tries in finals for the Capras with four, while Brown has scored the most points with 22.
Harbin said Brown was continually working on his kicking technique, while Roberts was a dynamic finisher.
“It’s very hard for Trey to do what he does. Playing in the middle, a lot of the time he’s taking those kicks he’s under a lot of fatigue,” he said.
“He’s just improved every year since he’s got here.
“He’s grown as a player and as a person and that’s shown in his game. He was a lot more consistent and mature in his performances last year.
“Brandon is an out and out try scorer. He’s very elusive and he’s a strong and powerful runner who has a knack of finding the tryline.
“He has a pretty impressive strike rate and we’re very fortunate to have him in our squad.”
The Capras are back into pre-season training, preparing for their first trial game on February 10 against the Dolphins, the NRL club with which they are aligned.
Brown, along with teammates Aaron Moore and Lachlan Hubner, are currently training with the Dolphins NRL squad and could well suit up for them in the trial, which kicks off at 6.10pm.
It will be preceded by four games featuring the CQ Capras and Mackay Cutters underage teams, starting with the Harvey Norman under-17 teams at 11.30am.
