Capras, Dolphins squads for pre-season trial game at Gladstone

Excitement is building as the Capras prepare to take on the Dolphins NRL team in a pre-season showdown at Gladstone. TEAM LISTS.

Blake Moore and Tyler Szepanowski have been named co-captains for the CQ Capras for the 2025 Hostplus Cup season.

Blake Moore and Tyler Szepanowski are sure to have an extra spring in their step and fire in their belly when they run onto Marley Brown Oval on Saturday night.

The duo will lead the CQ Capras as co-captains for the first time in their highly anticipated pre-season trial against the Dolphins.

Capras’ coach Lionel Harbin has named an extended squad of 22 players.

The Dolphins are bringing 24, their line-up including Cooper Marshall and Larson Dale-Doyle, who are on train and trial with the NRL club, as well as exciting teenage prospect Eli McKay who is part of their academy.

There is a sense of deja vu around this game.

The teams played in Gladstone in what was the Dolphins first-ever trial in 2023, the year they entered the NRL.

Saturday’s showdown will give Harbin his first look at his likely new halves pairing, with Blake Moore switching from fullback to halfback to partner his brother Aaron.

The men’s game will round out an exciting program of rugby league, in which the Capras under-17 girls and the under-17 and under-19 boys will take on the Wide Bay Bulls in their last trial games.
