Rockhampton Cricket: We name four junior mid-season teams of the year

We turn the spotlight on the standout performers of the four junior divisions, naming four mid-season teams of the year. See which players feature in the line-ups.

Rockhampton Cricket’s four junior divisions have served up some impressive performances in the opening rounds of the 2023/24 competitions.

Capricorn Coast’s Walt Lanson has scored 218 runs to be the leading batter in Division 1, while Joy Chauhan (Rockhampton Grammar) and Joshua Conway (Rockhampton Brothers) are the top wicket takers with seven apiece.

Jeremy Rowles (Gracemere) has been in good form with the willow, scoring 251 runs in Division 2, while Dale Atkinson (Rockhampton Grammar) has taken 10 wickets.

In Division 3, Riley Harmsworth (North Rockhampton) leads the way with 276 runs to date, while Presley Acton (Rockhampton Grammar) and Flynn Taylor (Rockhampton Brothers) have both bagged 11 wickets.

Travis Thrift (Frenchville) has compiled 221 runs, while Rania Evers (Gracemere) has taken 10 wickets.

With players counting down to the resumption of their respective competitions in early February, we’ve put together the junior mid-season teams of the 2023/24 season.

Lila Atkinson earns a place in the Division 1 mid-season team of the year.
