A man has been charged by police after he allegedly attacked a little girl in a shocking daylight assault in a Central Queensland park.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with indecent treatment of a five-year-old girl after an alleged assault in a public Rockhampton park.
The girl entered a toilet block cubicle at the Elphinstone Street park about 4.30pm Thursday before being approached by a stranger.
The man then allegedly indecently touched the girl before leaving the cubicle.
A Koongal man was arrested and charged overnight with indecent treatment of a child and making child exploitation material.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to face Rockhampton Magistrates Court on February 22.
