Juveniles charged after cars stolen in Callide Dawson Valley

A number of juveniles have been charged following a string of break and enters in the Central Queensland area with police still working to find others. Here’s what we know.

Five juveniles have been arrested and charged following a string of break and enters in the Biloela area in the past two weeks.

The juveniles, all aged between 12 and 15, were charged with 55 offences, with police recovering the two vehicles that were stolen.

However, police are still making efforts to find and arrest remaining offenders, who police say are still targeting “insecure houses and vehicles”.

“Investigations indicate these active offenders are presently targeting insecure vehicles and houses, to steal cash, keys and other valuables,” a Queensland Police spokesperson said.

“Police would like to remind residents of Biloela, Moura and surrounds to make sure they are locking their homes and vehicles even if they are at home and to ensure car keys and valuables are not left inside vehicles or in plain sight inside their dwelling.

“Please consider upgrading your home security including CCTV cameras, presently we recommend CCTV camera brands such as Eufy, Swann and Arlo.”

Biloela police thanked the community for their help identifying and locating the offenders.

The juveniles charged will have their matters dealt with in the Children’s Court.
