The Mazda CX-5 which had been stolen from Biloela on Saturday (July 16) was spotted in Yeppoon about 4.30pm Sunday afternoon.

Police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on Rockhampton Yeppoon Rd which stopped the vehicle before several occupants abandoned the car.

Officers then searched the area where they found a 14-year-old Biloela boy who was taken into custody.

The boy was charged with two counts each of stealing and fraud, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premise with intent to commit indictable offence and unauthorised dealing with shop goods.
