Plans for a four-unit duplex on a vacant block of land in North Rockhampton have been put to Rockhampton Regional Council.
The development application is for two lowset brick buildings with two units each at 98 Edington Street, Berserker.
The layout of the units would be a mirror of each other and include a single car garage, three bedrooms, two bathrooms with ensuite for master bedroom, study and open plan kitchen, living area and a dining area onto a covered patio area.
There would be a front entry fence with built-in mailboxes across the front boundary.
The units have a total area between 159 sqm and 169 sqm each, with a total building footprint of 656sqm on 48 per cent of the site.
The site was previously approved for five units in 2007 however the “economic downturn” made the development not “economically viable”.
The owner, who is registered to a Duaringa address, has confidence in completing the development, the application states.
The previous approval required the relocation of an old sewer which had been completed by the owner.
The application has requested credit from council for the infrastructure charges.
The application is pending assessment by council.
