Mackay man in hospital after being shot in early morning drama
Police are hunting those responsible for the shooting of another man in the early hours of the morning with the alleged offenders seen fleeing from the scene. UPDATED

Police found a man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder after responding to calls of a serious assault at 4.30am on Friday morning.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man was in a serious condition when taken to Mackay Base Hospital.
Hospital communications confirmed a 45yo male came in with a gunshot wound and, asa of 11am, was still at hospital and in a stable condition.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Police said officers received a call about a serious assault on Park St, before finding the man near Moore St.
“Alleged offenders ran away from the scene and police are asking for any CCTV footage available from the area,” the spokeswoman said.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
The incident comes after an alleged shooting in Dysart where a man and woman were taken to hospital suffering from ‘significant’ injuries on Monday.
A Mackay Hospital and Health spokeswoman confirmed a male, 25 and female, 37, were transported from Dysart Hospital to Mackay Base Hospital for treatment, by helicopter and ambulance.
On Tuesday, another man suffered a chest wound in an alleged stabbing incident and was taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Queensland Police Service said early investigations indicated a 30-year-old man was found at an address on Beardmore Cres, Dysart, at 7.17pm, with “non-life-threatening” injuries.
