The man police will allege was responsible for the stab wounds that killed bikie associate Levi Johnson has fronted court after police tracked him down some 150km from the scene of the alleged brutal murder.
Birkdale man Kyle Martin, 24, was mentioned in Ipswich Magistrates Court on September 19, 2022, charged with one count of murder (serious organised crime).
It will be alleged that Martin was one of four who attacked 23-year-old Levi Johnson in a Goodlife car park at Mansfield on Monday, September 12.
Mr Johnson died at the scene from his wounds.
Police previously said they would allege Mr Martin was responsible for stabbing Mr Johnson six times and that he also brought the knife.
Mr Martin allegedly fled the scene and was on the run until his arrest in Warwick last night, alongside a 24-year-old Wynnum West woman.
His arrest came after Thomas Myler was arrested on Friday and charged with murder.
Stuart Galloway, 34, and Luke Thomas Moore, 34, were charged with murder earlier in the week.
The arrests come after an intense police manhunt which included a raid on a Thomas St home in Birkdale which saw the street closed off last Tuesday afternoon as officers, including plain clothed police, flooded the street with residents saying they were heavily armed. It‘s understood no one was arrested at that time however.
Mr Martin, who remains in custody, did not appear in court but was instead represented by Hans Legal solicitor Emily Fackender, who asked for the matter to be transferred to Brisbane Court, so that Martin could be dealt with alongside his co-accused.
Magistrate Gary Finger listed Martin for committal mention on October 4 at Brisbane Magistrates Court.
Martin made no application for bail and was remanded in custody.
