Delays on Warrego Hwy after truck crashes into bridge

Motorists heading west on the Warrego Hwy can expect major delays this morning after a truck was clipped and crashed into a bridge on the busy highway.

Traffic is reportedly backed up as far as Dinmore on the Warrego Hwy after a truck was clipped and crashed into an onramp intersection at Brassall.

Paramedics are on scene assessing a stable male patient with cuts to the head after after a truck reportedly collided with a bridge on the Warrego Hwy, westbound, about 6am.

The prime mover was clipped and spun around, jackknifing into the bridge.

Both lanes were blocked near the BP, westbound on the Warrego Hwy at Brassall.

By 6.30am, police were able to open up one lane of westbound traffic but traffic was still backed up as far as Dinmore.

A heavy vehicle tower is being called.
