Police, ambulance and fire crews at scene of Canina crash

Rescue crews rushed to the scene of a three-car crash at a country intersection, just kilometres from where a teenage boy recently lost his life.

Police, ambulance and fire crews have been called to the scene of a traffic crash in the Gympie region.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the crash was called in at 4.10pm on Sunday and involved three cars at the intersection of Tin Can Bay and Kin Kin Rds at Canina.

Locals’ fears over Gympie region roads

Crews were still on scene as of 4.30pm.

It is believed there were no serious injuries.

The crash happened just kilometres from where Gympie teen Levi Hanna was tragically struck while crossing a rural road after getting off his school bus.

On Saturday, the family made an emotional plea for the community to help them farewell the 15-year-old.
