Emergency crews sent to scene of serious Anderleigh crash
One person has been airlifted in a critical condition from the scene of a dramatic crash north of Gympie where a ute was left suspended in trees on the side of a road.

A man has suffered serious chest injuries and been flown to hospital after his ute hit a tree, flipped, and came to a rest suspended in the air.
The ute was travelling towards Gympie along Sandy Crash Rd 12.40pm Friday when it veered off the road near the intersection of Anderleigh Rd.
A statement from RACQ LifeFlight revealed “the car had left the road and travelled through 50 metres of bushland before hitting a tree.”
The man, aged in his 50s, was flown via rescue helicopter to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical injuries.
LifeFlight landed in a nearby paddock to transport the man to hospital.
He was flown in a critical but stable condition.
A second passenger from the ute was taken to Gympie Hospital by ambulance.
The crash occurred about 12.36pm at Anderleigh.
