Three patients have been hospitalised with spinal injuries after a truck and two vehicles collided on the highway at Gympie on Saturday.

Three patients have been hospitalised after a truck collided with two vehicles at Gympie on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred on the Bruce Highway where it intersects with Oak Street and Chatsworth Street at 10.07am.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a male, female and third patient were taken to Gympie Hospital.
“All three were in stable conditions, suffering spinal injuries,” she said.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said police arrived at the scene shortly after and closed the south bound lane briefly.
“The highway is back open with flowing traffic,” she said.
