The weather is shaping up to be just perfect for the 2021 Gympie Show with a possible light shower on Thursday to settle the dust and fine weather Friday and Saturday.

Thursday at the Gympie Show really takes off after lunch, and the schools across the region love to take the children to see the many exhibits in the Pavilion and the start of judging in many other xxxx

WHAT’S HAPPENING ON THURSDAY:

At 7.30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday the Gympie Show Tom Grady Fireworks will light up the sky above the Showgrounds.

And the pig races are back every day this year near the main grandstand. Watch these little cuties in action on Thursday 10am, 11.30am, 1pm, 3.30pm, Friday 10am, 11am, 4pm, and Saturday 10am and midday.

WHAT’S HAPPENING ON FRIDAY:

Friday Gympie Show schedule 2021

Friday is People’s Day at the Gympie Show, and the entire region enjoys a public holiday. It’s the day not to miss, when at 2.30pm the Grand Parade at 2.30pm shows off all the champions judged at the 2021 Show.

The Tiny Tots contest will also be played out in the main Pavilion on Friday, with registrations open at 9.30am at the Pavilion stage for a 10am start.

Friday at 3pm there will be camel judging the Dairy Arena in a Gympie Show first, with the camels arriving at the Showgrounds to compete for a champion ribbon based on the same characteristics judges look for in other livestock.

In the main ring, the State Jumping Championship will be contested throughout Friday and Saturday.

GYMPIE SHOW RODEO ON SATURDAY

The Gympie Show Rodeo is the biggest rodeo on the National Rodeo Association calendar held in Australia and is on the International pro circuit. Make sure you don’t miss all the action of these superstar bull and bronc riders once the rodeo starts at 1pm on Saturday.

This year there are 16 events plus crowning of the Rodeo Junior Princess, Rodeo Princess and Rodeo Queen.

Full Bar will be open from 3pm

Live band after the Bull Ride Finals at 8pm.
