Travellers and residents are loving the Gympie region’s new $14.4 million Traveston Service Centre on the Mary Valley Link Road.

Cheap petrol, location and hot food including Rosie’s Chicken, has made it a drawcard for travellers, and as of Monday, May 17, there will be a drive through Maccas there as well.

The grand opening for the new restaurant has been the subject of debate, with the store staying shut despite the service station being up and running since November 2020.

But now Maccas has revealed Monday, May 17, 2021 as the opening day.

A McDonald’s Australia spokeswoman says there are dozens of job opportunities up for grabs.
