A ‘new and affordable retirement’ village is currently in construction in Agnes Water on a vacant block of land that sold for more than $3 million in 2021.
When complete, the ‘Riverbend’ village will consist of 190 independent, detached homes within a gated resort-style facility.
Community facilities will include indoor and outdoor pools, a theatre, billiard room, communal areas, outdoor entertaining facilities, and secure parking areas for boats and RVs.
The resort is situated at 101 Bryant Street, just a short drive from the heart of Agnes Water.
The 11ha block of land was purchased for $3.3 million in 2021, a steep increase from the last sale in 2016 for $899,800.
There will be a total of seven different home styles, with two and three-bedroom homes, on offer from $520,000 and $595,000.
These prices sit approximately $100,000 to $150,000 lower than the 2023 median house price for Agnes Water, according to recent data from realestate.com.au.
Agnes Water is Riverbend’s sixth location, with other resorts and villages situated around Australia.
Construction is currently underway, with the first 20 homes expected to be completed and move-in ready by April 2024.
Recent interest in Agnes Water properties has increased other development and construction in the region, including Saturday’s opening of the Stockwell shopping centre.
