Man flown to Rockhampton Base Hospital in stable condition following serious Gladstone region crash

Around 1.20am on Thursday morning RACQ Capricorn rescue helicopter was tasked to attend Calliope following a serious motorbike accident.
A man in his mid-30s had reportedly fallen off the bike and slid across Fremont Street before making impact with a tree.
The man was initially treated on scene by QAS before being transported to the Calliope show grounds to meet with Rescue 300.
The man was treated for suspected spinal injuries by the Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) and Flight Doctor.
He was then stabilised for flight to Rockhampton Base Hospital where he would receive further specialist care.
The man was in a stable condition throughout the flight.
