Rider flown to hospital with severe injuries following K’gari trail bike crash
A trail bike rider has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after losing control and crashing into a tree on K’gari.

A man in his 30s was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following a serious trail bike crash on K’gari on Saturday morning.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they received a call at 11am before the Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight crew was dispatched at 11.15am.
The man had reportedly been riding in a group when he lost control of his trail bike in the sand and collided with a tree.
QAS paramedics were first on the scene, transporting the injured rider to a nearby helipad.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and a QAS flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the man for “serious injuries” to his chest, pelvis, and legs.
The rider was flown in a stable condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
