A seriously injured woman was airlifted to hospital after her4WD crashed into a paddock in the South Burnett on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene near South Nanango about 6.15am, where the car carrying the woman and a child had overturned off Berlin Road.
A LifeFlight spokesperson said the woman, aged in her 40s, was believed to have lost control of the vehicle while navigating a corner. It rolled twice, ejecting the woman and coming to rest in a nearby paddock.
The child remained in the car and was treated for whiplash and minor injuries before being taken by road to Kingaroy Hospital.
The LifeFlight helicopter landed in a field 5km from the crash site due to thick fog, which prevented landing closer.
Paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service transported both patients to the helicopter.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic provided further treatment to the woman for suspected serious spinal injuries before she was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
