Toddler drowns in tragic incident at Woongarra

A little boy has died in hospital after an incident at a private residence in the Bundaberg region overnight.

A toddler has tragically died following a drowning incident at a private pool.

Emergency crews rushed the little boy to hospital on Saturday night after the incident at a private home.

Paramedics were called about 6.41pm to a Woongarra property.

It is understood the incident involved a child aged three years.

Initial information indicates the little boy suffered life-threatening injuries after an incident in the pool.

The Queensland Ambulance Service was called and paramedics took him to Bundaberg Hospital.

It is understood the little boy died in hospital.

The death is considered non-suspicious and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
