Emergency services have found two children safe and well after they were reportedly stuck in a drain in Maryborough following heavy rain across the entire region in the past two days.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they received a call around 8am Wednesday about a teenage boy and another unidentified child being stuck in a drain on Dunn Street after reportedly climbing into it.

A Queensland Fire Department confirmed the reports, saying that a tactical team had been trying to find the best way to enter the drain to retrieve the two.

Both children were found outside of the drain and in good condition, a QAS spokeswoman said.

Emergency crews also responded to a fully submerged ute in a flooded causeway at Yengarie, west of Maryborough early Wednesday.

The ute was seen at the flooded causeway at the intersection of Mungar and Pohlman roads.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the driver exited the vehicle before it was submerged and was safe.
