A man has been rushed to hospital with significant burns in what is the latest of several shocking incidents involving backyard fires on the Fraser Coast.

A man in his 20s has been rushed to hospital with significant burns after an incident at a home in Beelbi Creek.
The incident happened at 3.58pm on Thursday when the man was putting petrol on a backyard fire, a spokeswoman from the Queensland Ambulance Service said.
The man suffered burns to his face, leg and hand and was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
It follows a spate of similar incidents on the Fraser Coast in recent weeks.
On Sunday at 7.18pm, a girl in her teens was transported to hospital in a stable condition with facial burns after a backyard fire incident at a private address in Point Vernon.
On July 20 at 10.54pm at Kawungan, a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with burns to his legs after a backyard fire at a private address.
He was transported in a stable condition to the Hervey Bay Hospital.
On July 13, a young girl was rushed to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after her clothing caught alight at a Urangan home.
The primary school-aged child suffered burns to her chest during the incident, which happened about 7.40pm at a private address.
She was taken to the Hervey Bay Hospital.
On July 9 about 6pm in Maryborough, a man in his 30s was taken to the Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition with burns to his face and chest after an incident involving a backyard fire.
