Child rushed to hospital with life-threatening burns at Urangan

A young girl has been rushed to hospital with potentially life-threatening burns after an incident in Hervey Bay.

A child has suffered serious burns.

A young girl has been rushed to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after her clothing caught alight at a Urangan home.

The primary school aged child suffered burns to her chest during the incident, which happened about 7.40pm on Saturday at a private address.

She was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital.

Emergency service crews were also kept busy at other incidents in Hervey Bay.

A female patient in her teens was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition following a fall from a scooter on Margaret Street in Urangan at 6.19pm.

In Pialba, one stable male patient with head and hip pain was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital following a fall from a bicycle on Bayview Terrace at 6.14pm.
