A young man has been taken to hospital with facial burns from a backyard fire in Central Queensland.

A man has suffered facial burns from a backyard fire at Cawarral in Central Queensland on July 27.

A young man has suffered facial burns from a backyard fire in Central Queensland on Saturday.

Paramedics were called to Coorooman Creek Road, Cawarral, about 2.07pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said a man in his 20s sustained burns to his face and was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.

Cawarral is a small township located between Rockhampton and Yeppoon.
