Shocking footage shared on social media shows the extensive damage to a 4WD after it was allegedly stolen from a suburban area in Hervey Bay at the weekend.
A video was shared on Facebook of a Nissan X-Trail with its tyres shredded to the rims.
In the video, black scuff marks can be seen down the right hand side of the car.
Police have confirmed the 4WD was found in Nikenbah, near Fraser Coast Anglican College, on Tuesday, October 4.
It was allegedly stolen from Point Vernon on Sunday, October 2.
According to police, a juvenile offender has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
