A Maryborough man wants to help his daughter buy a house after he won big on Keno twice within the space of a year.

A quiet moment at Maryborough’s Old Sydney Hotel quickly became unforgettable when his numbers came up and delivered a $114,000 windfall.

The Fraser Coast man held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 785, drawn on October 29.

“Wow mate, when it came up and I saw my numbers there on the screen I thought, ‘Oh, my god, it’s happened again’,” the winning man said when an official from Keno called to confirm his win.

“I’ve been playing these special numbers of mine for decades and before last year I’d never won a thing.

“Fast forward to today, and I’ve won an 8 Spot just one year after winning $50,000 with the same Keno numbers.

“I celebrated in my own, very quiet way and I’m honestly not sure how to feel. It’s pretty shocking.

“I also won’t keep most of the money. I’ll give it to my daughter and help her work closer towards owning her own home.

“That’s the best gift a father can ask for.”

His winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry was purchased at Old Sydney Hotel at the corner Ellena and Richmond Street, Maryborough.

The Old Sydney Hotel team wished the winning customer all the best for the future.
