Boonooroo truck rollover sparks clean-up as fuel spreads over road

Two men have been taken to hospital after a truck rollover near Maryborough as firefighters worked to clean-up a diesel spill on the road.

Firefighters have been called in after diesel spread on the road after a truck rollover at Boonooroo, near Maryborough, on Monday.

The two male occupants in the truck were taken to hospital following the rollover after climbing from the rolled truck before emergency services arrived after getting the call at 9.45am.

Multiple emergency services attended the scene of the crash at the intersection of Maryborough Cooloola Rd and Boonooroo Rd.

The crash happened at the turn-off to Tin Can Bay and Gympie.

The men were transported to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution while fire services removed the truck from the road.

The road is believed to be cleared with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services work to clean up a small amount of diesel which spilt onto the road following the incident.
