A man has been flown to hospital after crashing his quad bike on a farm southwest of Miles, which was cut off by floodwaters that hampered the rescue.
The man, aged in his 40s, suffered shoulder and chest injuries in the crash.
A rescue helicopter was called in to help just after 11am Thursday, with floodwaters surrounding the property and making emergency assistance difficult.
It is understood the man’s brother, who is a doctor, was the first on scene and provided medical care until crews arrived.
He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
