Two men who police allege attempted to kill a Dalby tradesman after shooting him during a horrifying carjacking last month have had their matters mentioned in court.

A man and his co-accused have had their matters mentioned in court after police charged both of them with attempted murder following a shocking alleged robbery in Dalby.
Following the alleged shooting, police allege the pair took off in a full-scale pursuit along one of Toowoomba’s busiest streets which resulted in their car striking a motorcyclist, who had to be treated by paramedics at the scene.
Defence lawyer Claire Graham appeared on behalf of Mr Cubby, whose appearance was not required in court, when his matters were mentioned at Dalby Magistrates Court on June 27.
Ms Graham also appeared as town agent on behalf of Saldumbide Criminal Lawyers for the co-accused Mr Ward-Sinclair and said his matters also needed to be adjourned to gain further material.
Mr Cubby, a Dalby man, will face a number of charges including one count of attempted murder, dangerous operation of vehicle, possess utensils, robbery with actual violence, unlawful possession of weapons, unlawful use of motor vehicle.
Mr Ward-Sinclair, a Toowoomba man, has been charged with one count of attempted murder, robbery with actual violence, unlawful possession of weapons, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerously operate or interfere with vehicle, two counts of driving without licence, and an evasion offence.
Magistrate Kyna Morice ordered the pair be remanded in custody and adjourned both their matters until August 1, where neither appearances will be required.
