Joshua Laurence Warwick: Man charged with two counts of attempted murder before Dalby Magistrates Court

Joshua Laurence Warwick who police allege attempted to murder to people with his vehicle had his matter mentioned at Dalby Magistrates Court.

A Western Downs man charged with two counts of attempted murder after allegedly trying to kill two people with a car has had his matters mentioned before court once again.

Police allege that on February 4, Joshua Laurence Warwick drove his vehicle at two people during a dispute at Tara.

The Goranba man, who police believed was on the run after the alleged attempted murder, is also accused of lunging at an officer with a small weapon on Binnie St.

Defence lawyer Claire Graham represented the 32-year-old man as town agent on behalf of Legal Aid Queensland on June 27, where she said there was outstanding material that remained from the brief of evidence which had been ordered on the last occasion at court on May 30.

Ms Graham said Legal Aid were waiting for medical records related to one of the alleged victims as well as a digital material.

Mr Warwick’s appearance was not required in court and he was remanded in custody.

He has not yet been required to enter a plea to his charges, which include two counts of attempted murder, one count of failing to remain at an incident, two counts of failing to appear in accordance with undertaking, two counts of contravening a domestic violence order and one count each of possessing explosives, possessing property suspected of having been used for drugs, possessing drug utensils, serious assault of police while pretending or being armed with a weapon and wilful damage.

Magistrate Kyna Morice adjourned Mr Warwick’s matters to August 1.
