Joshua Laurence Warwick faces Dalby Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder

A Western Downs man who was charged with attempted murder and 12 other offences earlier this year has had his matter mentioned in Dalby court.

A Western Downs man who was charged with two counts of attempted murder in February this year has had his matters mentioned in court.

Police allege that on February 4, Joshua Laurence Warwick drove his vehicle at two people during a dispute at Tara.

The 32-year-old Goranba man, who police believed was on the run after the alleged incident, was also spotted lunging at a police officer with a small weapon on Binnie St at Tara.

Solicitor Julia Molloy appeared as town agent on behalf of Mr Warwick at Dalby Magistrates Court on May 30 and she requested a brief of evidence for the matter.

Mr Warwick also faces 12 other charges, including one count of failing to remain at an incident, two counts of failing to appear in accordance with undertaking, two counts of contravening a domestic violence order and one count each of possessing explosives, possessing property suspected of having been used for drugs, possessing drug utensils, serious assault of police while pretending or being armed with a weapon and wilful damage.

Acting magistrate Andrew Walker ordered the man remain in custody and scheduled the next mention for his matter to be heard on June 27.
