Melinda McCaw in court for unlawful wounding

A Bundaberg South woman who has been in jail for 273 days for ‘unlawfully wounding’ somebody in 2023 has been granted parole.

A Bundaberg woman was sentenced to two and half years jail on Monday, July 8, for one count of unlawful wounding, but released immediately on parole.

Judge Moynihan KC sentenced her to two years and six months jail, but taking into account her 273 days already spent in pre-sentence custody McCaw was released immediately on parole.
