Howard shed fire: crews battle intense blaze to save home
Investigations are underway after a fierce shed fire on the Fraser Coast came dangerously close to a house and car overnight.

Rural firefighters were called to a shed fire in Howard late Friday night with five crews working to bring the blaze under control.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said the fire was reported around 10.39pm, with crews arriving to find the 5m by 10m shed “well involved”.
The shed was just two metres away from a house and a vehicle, prompting urgent efforts to protect the nearby structures.
By 10.53pm, firefighters had secured the safety of the home and vehicle, containing the spread of the fire.
The blaze was under control by 11.15pm, with crews remaining on site to dampen the area and prevent any reignition.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are underway.
