Josh Maddern confirmed as victim of Avoca motorcycle crash
A beloved Bundaberg father and husband has been identified as the young man who died on Tuesday when his motorcycle and a car collided at a busy regional intersection.

A family is in mourning after a Bundaberg father tragically fell victim to another deadly accident on the region’s roads.
Josh Maddern was confirmed as the 37-year-old man who died at the scene of a crash at the intersection of Airport Drive and Childers Road on Tuesday morning, February 14.

Mr Maddern suffered critical injuries when his motorcycle collided with a Subaru sedan around 5.12am, and paramedics were unable to save his life.
Staff from Generation Funerals transported Mr Maddern from the scene of the crash. No date has yet been revealed for his funeral.
Mr Maddern’s wife, Amelia, paid tribute through a Facebook post to the “amazing man” she was thankful to have spent her life with.
“...My children lost an incredible, passionate and loving father and I lost a devoted husband, my best friend and a huge piece of myself,” Mrs Maddern said.
“Despite how broken I feel right now I am thankful for every second I got to spend with my amazing man.
“I love you Josh Maddern.
“Forever and always.”
Another family member, Kris Maree, posted “RIP my brother”, to which Marissa Pirovano said “thinking of you and all the Maddern family” in response.
Nashelle Schafer Wall said “RIP mate taken too young”.
